Garden HPS plant bulbs can be damaged before there even under your grow light reflector, when handling High Pressure Sodium Bulbs, cares needs to be taken as grease from your handle will more than likely be left after screwing in to that difficult ceramic E40 lamp holder.

Careful as you go when screw HPS Bulbs in, as that E40 lamp holders really tight, as I?ve managed to break one in the past annoyingly.

? Which grow Light Reflectors Best

I?m not endorsing any particular grow light reflector but always try and buy the very best that?s around/out at the time, but I will say this:- NEVER EVER BUY bat-wing, v-reflectors angled metal grow light reflectors as there bout the worst you can buy, as the light reflected is very uneven which causes hot spots within your grow room, but not only that but can also damage your bulb with heat being reflected back, shorting your bulbs life.

This plant light stand great if you don?t really fancy hanging grow lights like high pressure sodium lights and metal halide lamps from your ceiling,even 1000w hps grow lights,

Will also hangs grow room carbon air filter and you can also hang the grow light ballast off the light stand too, keeping it well off the floor.

? Tools You?ll Need For Your Homemade Plant Light Stand

? Hack-saw

? Drill and 5mm drill bit

? Magic Marker

? Set square

? Box section steel tubing

0.5 and 0.8 inch

? Vice ?but not essential

? Metal file ?for sharp edges?

As you can see, you?ll not need many tools for this homemade plant light stand, and what you don?t have just beg borrow or steal, ?ok that last one?s a joke.?

? Buying your box section steel

Box section steels cheaper than you may think, if you find somewhere local, which size you buy ?or what?s available? is up to you, but I used 0.8 of an inch and 0.5 inch, the 0.5 is for sliding into the inside of the 0.8 so?s you?ll be able to adjust the height easily.

? Triangle plates

While your at the iron mongers, you?ll need to also pick up an off cut of 2mm thick plate 12x12 inch, you?ll probably be able to find a suitable piece in there of cut box ?all iron mongers will have a scrap box that you?ll be able to rummage though and probably wont cost anything either.

Firstly you?ll cut three sections, which two will become the feet for your stand, and the other you will later hang your plant light from.Two, two and a half foot sections ?30inch.?

Now for them two shorter bits that are sitting on top of the light stand feet.Two one foot sections ?12inch.? But don?t try fitting them just yet.

Cutting the two triangles, ready for use.12 by 12 inch.

Cut a length of box section for the vertical light stand section.4 foot "48inches.

With the magic marker, mark out where them two bars need to be, 20inches from what will become the front ?where your grow light will hang over? and remember to make sure the vertical box section, plus the triangle has room to just fit when you mark it out.

Once marked out clamp and drill out, and bolt together, and also drill and bolt the vertical and the triangle before fixing to the two feet.

With the three-foot section that you bought specially to go inside the vertical plant light bar. ?36inch.? for the light stand and mark out every six inches and drill all the way though, ?these will be for adjusting your plant light stand.?

With the section third section that you cut earlier ?along with the feet? and the remaining triangle, clamp onto the vertical box section, 20inches out ?the same distance as the feet? and the triangle and check its horizontal with a spirit level, ?then magic marker it? drill it out and bolt it up.

With the main plant light stand built you can now put any extra hooks for cables you?d like, along with a lick of paint.

A noticeable lack of vigor, with older leaves becoming yellowChlorosis if left untreated will spread to stems and inter-nodes and starts from lower leaves and moves upwards through the plant.

Plants will more than likely have very dark leaves that rip/ter easily and also then ends of your leaves will dry out and burn and be easily knocked off.

?(P) Phosphorus Deficiency

Signs of stunted, slow growth with older leaves appearing to be dark green and often accompanied by some purpling or reddening on both leaves and stems.while

?(P) Phosphorus Toxicity

Although rare, innless your making your own nutrient fertilizer up, can slow uptake of copper and zinc.

?(K) Potassium Deficiency

First signs of plant nutrient deficiency will normally be chlorotic ?pale? with developing darker patches, turning black, first aspeares on outer edges of leaves before moving in, plants may also appear vigorous at fist.

?(K) Potassium Toxicity

Although not normally toxic can slow uptake of manganese, magnesium, zinc and iron.

?(S) Sulphur Deficiency

Early signs are a general yellowing of entire leaf, beginning with the younger leafs, leafs may curl downwards around the edges of leafs.

?(S) Sulphur Toxicity

Edges of leafs become brown with leaf overall size reduced on new growth.

?(MG) Manganese deficiency

Some chlorosis ? and yellowing spots? with brown patches with some leaf shedding and maybe some deformed leaf growth, with leaf curling.

?(MG) Manganese Toxicity

Uneven leaf colour, due to low chlorophylls, with slow plant growth rates.

?(cl) Chlorine Deficiency

Some reddening ?bronzing? beginning at stem of leaf and rising, with hydroponics some root thickening at the ends and general growth will slow.

?(B) Boron deficiency

Tips of plants stems may die along with root tips, along with swelling of roots. Leafs may wilt along with some leaf browning ?spotting.? turning grey.

?(B) Boron Toxicity

Some plants are more sensitive than others, general yellowing of leaf edges, that moves over the entire leaf surface.

?(ZN) Zinc Deficiency

Crinkling of leafs or just generally distorted with reduced leaf size in new growth, including the distance between leaf nodes,with white areas on tips and between leaf vain's .

?(ZN) Zinc Toxicity

Excessive amounts of zinc will cause chlorosis, wilting and will quickly kill any plant as its very toxic to plants in large amounts.

?(CU) Copper Deficiency

Twisting of leafs, sometimes confused with red mite infestation, leafs become very green and shiny, with black spots and slowing growth.

?(CU) Copper Toxicity

Signs of stunted growth along with some yellowing ?chlorosis? although essential, extremely toxic in large amounts

?(MO) Molybdenum Deficiency

First signs are shown on older leafs that become very dark green becoming twisted later on, if lest unchecked will spread throughout plant, leading to leaf loss.

?(MO) Molybdenum Toxicity

Used in very small amounts, toxicities rare but can discolor foliage.
